Terms of use
The rules that apply to users and to business owners.
This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
What Bukni is
Bukni is a directory and an intermediary for booking appointments. The service itself is provided by the salon, not by us. The salon is responsible for the quality of the service, its price and its delivery.
Booking an appointment
A booking is an agreement between you and the salon. The salon may confirm or cancel it. You can cancel it yourself up to the deadline the salon sets; after that, call the salon.
Age
Accounts and bookings are intended for people aged sixteen and over — that is the threshold Croatian law sets for online services. For anyone younger, a parent or guardian books on their own account.
Accuracy of listings
Data from public sources can be out of date. If something is wrong, tell us with the button on the profile, or have the owner claim the profile and correct it.
Reviews
Only a user who had an appointment at that salon booked through Bukni, and who actually attended it, can write a review — we accept no others. We read every review before it is published, and we publish bad ones exactly as we publish good ones. We reject only reviews that are abusive, that expose someone else’s personal data, or that clearly do not describe the service delivered. Ratings taken from Google Maps are always labelled as such and are never merged with ratings given on Bukni.
Obligations of business owners
The owner warrants that they are entitled to manage the profile and that the data they enter is accurate. We remove profiles used to mislead.
Customer data the owner receives
When a customer books, the owner sees their name, phone number and appointment details in the owner dashboard. From that moment the owner is a separate data controller for that data and is responsible for it themselves. They may use it solely to deliver and arrange that appointment. They must not use it for marketing messages, must not sell it or pass it to any third party, and must delete it once it is no longer needed for that appointment. Breaching this clause is grounds for removing the profile.
Photographs uploaded by the owner
By uploading a photograph the owner warrants that they are entitled to publish it and that they hold consent from every identifiable person in it. Any photograph that turns out not to meet this is removed without delay.
No-show deposit
If the salon asks for a deposit, the amount is held on your card and charged only if you do not turn up. If you attend, the hold is released.
